Trivia: * Eddie Murphy is acting as three different characters in this comedy. This is the seventh film in which he has played multiple roles; the others are Coming to America, Vampire in Brooklyn, The Nutty Professor, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, The Adventures of Pluto Nash, and Bowfinger. * In the movie, there is a scene where the neighbor's dog Lloyd is seen conversing with Norbit, where Norbit claims,"You can talk!" This is an apparent reference to Dr. Dolittle, another movie in which Murphy starred. * The song "Don't Cha" by The Pussycat Dolls is featured three times in this movie. First, when Rasputia is singing along while driving in the car with Norbit, second when Rasputia finds out that Norbit was out with Kate and is going to find him, she is singing it through tears, off key and off beat and, third, when she appears as a showgirl at the end. * The name Rasputia has two references. The first one is that it rhymes with Xuxa and the last reference is that it is a feminine version of the name Rasputin. * The set of Norbit and Rasputia's house is the same as the first and second Garfield movies. * The outdoor set of the town in the movie is the same as that of the TV series Gilmore Girls and The Dukes of Hazzard. * In the wedding scene, you can see Katt Williams wearing a chain from the record label Diplomat Records which he is on. * Although Earl is said to be the youngest of the Latimore brothers, Clifton Powell who plays Earl is actually 21 years older than Terry Crews who plays Jack, the oldest of the brothers. * This is the fourth movie in which Murphy and special effects makeup artist Richard A. Baker have worked together, previously including Coming to America, The Nutty Professor, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps and The Haunted Mansion. This is Baker's 11th Oscar nomination.
